Fatboy's The Burger Bar @ Terminal Pahlawan, Melaka

With a few sister outlets in Klang Valley and Johor, Fatboy's The Burger Bar is finally in Melaka! Originating from Singapore and being named one of the best burger in Singapore, I would definitely have to try this :)

Nestled in the busiest area in Melaka, Fatboy's is located at the ground floor in Terminal Pahlawan (the newest mall in Melaka right next to Hatten Hotel). It has a modern black and white interior color, surrounded with some fancy wall sticker. It is indeed quite a nice place to savour some good meals here.

As you can see from their name, Fatboy's is an American style diner specialised in burgers, offers variety of burgers which including customised burger. Yes, it means you may build your own burger here anyway you want. All you need to do is to choose from the list of types of buns, patties, cheese, sauces, add ons and your burgers will be cooked and served to you then :)

The customisable burger menu

Anyway, since we are all not a very adventurous person, we have choose ours from the specialty burgers list :p.  All the burgers are served with fries and vegetable (which is a slice of lettuce and tomato).

Love how they indicate the type of meat protein :)

Had The Elvis, a pork burger with bacon, and with PEANUT butter! And the honey oat bun is superb! Simply delicious!

And the Mahalo, a burger with juicy bacon stuffed pork belly, with onions, pineapple, creamy mayo on a sesame bun!

Mahalo RM19.50
We have the BLT as well, a toasted baguette with lots of crispy bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and mustard sauce, served with some simply awesome steak cut fries.  However, I found the baguette was abit too hard to consume. Other than that, everything was fine.

BLT RM17

Total "damage" :p
All I can say is that we were very satisfied customers. Something that I would want to praise about Fatboy's is their burger buns. They were grilled perfectly with crispy on the out, but soft inside. It is somehow different with other burger shop, where Fatboy's are more aromatic and enchanting :) Love especially the Honey Oat Bun which is simply yummy with its own.

Besides, service was excellent! Attentive and friendly waiters, and food were served quite fast even though during peak hours.

La Bodega @ The Shore Melaka

It was a sunny, superb great weather Saturday morning. We decided to try out the breakfast in the newly opening restaurant in Malacca- La Bodega. Indeed this was not the first dining experience here, we had tried the lunch set and had dinner here  before but never on the breakfast. So since our dearest mummy also beria-ria to give a try so here we go!

This La bodega outlet which located at The Shore Malacca is the first outlet opening outside the Klang Valley. And this is definitely a good news to Malaccans as we now have another attractive culinary option :)

As usual, we were being greeted with the welcome "hola" by the staffs once we stepped into the restaurant. We were being informed that only Breakfast & sandwiches menu were available in the morning :( Sad. I was thinking to let my mum to have a try on the paella. Anyway, a quick glance on the menu, it was quite a wide varieties and choices.

Tze and KK opted for the Bodega's big breakfast. It was a huge portion consisting of sautéed mushroom, eggs, ham, sausages and toast. And with a top up of RM10 you get to enjoy a glass of fresh juice and Illy coffee of your choice. It is absolutely worth the price!

Big Breakfast RM28 (Add on RM10 for a glass of fresh juice and Illy coffee)

While mum got herself the French toast. We were quite surprised when it was being served as it was solely came with 2 toasts and a little jug of honey. No single garnishing at all. Thus it looks quite horrible in terms of food presentation. Luckily the taste are still ok else i feel so sorry for my mum :(

As a real beginner of tea addict, I was totally in love with Harney & Son Pomegranate Oolong. Tried it once a been eager to have it again. If possible i would like to get my hands on some :)

I ordered this Strawberry Banana Crepe. I believe that this was a homemade crepe, which filled with fresh strawberries and banana, and topped with some walnuts (which in the menu it is suppose to be almond flakes :p). However, the vanilla custard sauce + the chocolate sauce was way to diluted and wet, thus the whole crepe indeed looked in a mess. Crepe became soggy and it is just so not up to the standard as a nice dessert.

Among the dishes we had, I think Wei's Club Sandwich looks the best. The layers of the sandwich was filled with all the tempting ingredients: fresh leafy green vegetables, tomatoes, eggs and turkey hams!

Club Sandwich RM25

Like mother, like daughters :)

Overall we have quite a pleasant dining experience there, with the nice environment, nice songs, and friendly staffs. However, food quality can be improved though. We have sampled in their Klang Valley outlets, and we think that the food quality in KV is definitely better than here in Malacca. Probably still new and the kitchen staffs need some time to get things perfect? :) ;)
